And now there are two!

Today is my first day of working full time on TreatOut. To say I am a wee bit overexcited about this is probably an understatement. I have had to buy myself a coffee machine for the office and cannot wait to be able to focus on our startup. But most importantly it signals the start of a new phase with TreatOut. One where our progress will be a lot more visible.

Up until now Nathalie has been the only one of us working full time, while Deborah and I have been supporting her from the wings. But that is all about to change!

On Friday 9th September we showcased our MVP for TreatOut at Le Wagon London’s Demo Day. Nathalie had spent the last nine weeks on their brilliant coding bootcamp and has produced the most fantastic prototype.

Getting to this point now means we have a tangible product to show restaurants, investors and most importantly our diners. And boy, what a difference this makes. We genuinely feel proud when we see the twinkle in diners eyes as ingredients are added to their profile and dishes instantly disappear from the menu!

So now we are beginning to go out to visit restaurants and ask them to join us so we can get our limited access release out. For our MVP we have been working with La Polenteria a gluten-free Italian kitchen from London and Longhouse a Malaysian fusion restaurant in Sevenoaks. These restaurants have been amazing, spending time with us and giving us their menu data. We cannot wait for when you can use TreatOut to Eat Out with them.

Our first real public outing is going to be at Restaurant Tech Live on 27-28 September at ExCel London. We have a stand there and Nathalie is also a guest speaker talking about how difficult it can be to eat out when you have food intolerances.

Sign up for free tickets and come and see us. We love meeting you and can’t wait to show you our MVP.
